What is the Meaning of Energy

What is the Meaning of EnergyAfter it has been transferred, energy is usually designated based on its nature. Therefore, heat transferred may become thermal energy, while work completed may manifest itself in the type of mechanical energy.

All forms of energy are related to motion. For instance, any given body has kinetic energy when it is in motion. A tensioned device for example a spring or bow, though at rest, has the potential for producing motion; it contains potential energy due to its configuration. In the same way, nuclear energy is potential energy because it come from the configuration of subatomic particles within the nucleus of an atom.

Different Types of Energy

Energy has several different types, all of which calculate the ability of system or an object to complete work on another system or object.

Quite simply, you can find different methods that a system or an object can have energy.

Here are the different basic types:

Kinetic Energy:

Think about a baseball flying via the air. The ball is said to have kinetic energy by virtue of the fact that its in motion relative to the floor.

Potential Energy:

Think about a book sitting on a table. The book is said to have potential energy because if it is nudged off, gravity will accelerate the book, providing the book kinetic energy.

Chemical Energy:

Think about the ability of your body to complete work. The glucose (blood sugar) in the body is said to have chemical energy as the glucose releases energy when chemically responded (combusted) with oxygen.

Electrical Energy

All matter is composed of atoms and atoms are composed of smaller particles, known as neutrons (which have neutral charge), protons (which have good charge) and electrons (which are negatively charged). Electrons orbit around the center or nucleus, of atoms, the same as the moon orbits our planet.

Energy Resources for Kids

Energy resources mean the sources that have the energy. In true sense each object in the planet is acquired with some energy. However in practical sense, we refer energy resources for that agencies which have substantial energies that could be transformed for useful purposes.

If you look back on energy of any agency you will find the sun is the supply for all energy. The solar energy in the type of solar heat is widely employed in numerous types of solar heaters. Wind and water are one of the important natural agencies which are regarded as important energy sources.

Water can be saved at high altitudes in the type of dams and its potential energy can be changed into kinetic energy by moving the water through pen stocks. The turbines coupled to electric generators are fitted below the pen stocks to change the kinetic energy to electrical energy.

Almost the same principle is utilized in wind mills which utilizes the wind forces to produce electrical energy. The energy resource of earth are products like petroleum oils, coal and other mineral products.
